February Awaits

A European night with a difference. It would have been nice to have topped the group but finishing second and making sure we’re still in the Champion’s League come February was the next best thing. It was never going to be a barnstorming night with Anfield gripped by Euro fever and after Napoli had a goal ruled out by VAR it looked a nil-nil all the way. That is until Nuñez came on and made a difference. A bit of mayhem in the Napoli box caused by Darwin gave Mo the chance to give us the lead with five minutes of normal time left. In the final seconds of seven minutes added on there was more mayhem and it was Nuñez who scrambled the ball home [after another VAR check]. February awaits along with some bug guns who did top their groups.
