Southampton 1 Liverpool 0

We ended the old year with an insipid show up in the North East in Geordie Land and started the new one with an insipid performance down on the south coast at Southampton. To rub salt into the wound ex-Red Danny Ings scored the only goal. We might have laid claim to two penalty shouts but we only had one shot on target despite have just about all the possession.  Three games, one goal, two points. Nothing else to say.
