I’m just keeping you in the loop about our Bootleg Beat Leeds tribute night, a celebration on the 60th anniversary of Liverpool’s first ever FA Cup success. There will be music, food and memories. There will be memorabilia, footage of the game and the homecoming. A reprint of the programme and song sheet plus a chance to win the FA Cup.
Our host is Lee Rogan, special guests include John Aldridge, Davy Fairclough and Howard Gayle. We have family members of those who played. We’d like to get one of the few remaining players who actually turned out on that day but health reasons are proving a problem.
It was the greatest day in Liverpool’s history at the time and remains one today.
