Roma 4 Liverpool 2

its not very often that a defeat can actually taste sweet but this time it tastes so very, very sweet. The scoreline flattered the Romans but even that doesn’t matter. Roma had to come and get us; we knew what was needed and we did it. At two-all with five minutes left it was probably understandable that Jurgen wanted to put the shutters up but unfortunately we’re so short of numbers it doesn’t work.  The third Roma goal didn’t really give them a lot of hope because of the time on the clock and the fourth was a gift from the referee but it was basically the last kick. There were, of course, causes for concern and we did get sloppy at times when going forward but there were also heroes and we’re going to Kiev.
