The Red All Over The Land Story

Since 1995

How It All Began

Red All Over The Land started over 30 years ago as a photocopied matchday fanzine sold outside Anfield and has grown into one of the longest running independent football publications in the country and the only Liverpool FC fanzine.

Created and edited by John Pearman, the fanzine has always been written by the fans, for the fans. It tells the story of Liverpool FC from the stands, the pubs, and the away coaches sharing our honest opinions and thoughts.

The Spirit of the Fanzine

Over the years, Red All Over The Land has captured the highs and lows of following the Reds: the miracle nights and heartbreaks that followed, and the everyday moments that make being a Liverpool fan something special.

Our magazine has been printed continuously since its first issue, with each edition reflecting the mood of the fans rather than the headlines of the day.

Events & Former STARS

Alongside the magazine, we’ve hosted live events celebrating Liverpool’s past and present from evenings with legends like Phil Thompson, John Aldridge, Ronnie Whelan to anniversary nights marking milestones in the fanzine’s own story.

These gatherings have become a part of the RAOTL experience a chance for supporters to meet club legends, share memories, and raise a glass to what makes Liverpool FC unique.

Giving Back

Red All Over The Land has always believed in doing more than talking about football. Over the years, proceeds from events and fanzine sales have helped support a number of local causes and charities, including community projects, supporter memorial funds, and grassroots football initiatives.

It’s our way of putting something back into the city and the people who make this club what it is.

Still Going Strong

Three decades on, Red All Over The Land remains proudly independent. We still print the fanzine for sale outside Anfield on matchdays, and now we’ve brought that same voice online for readers around the world.

Whether you’ve stood on the Kop for fifty years or you’ve only just found us, you’ll find something here that feels familiar – a place where passion, humour and honesty still matter.

Because Red All Over The Land isn’t just about football. It’s about what it means to belong to the Reds.
