Liverpool 2 Villa 0 2 Nov 2025 - There was apprehension and fireworks in the air as kick off approached against Aston Villa. You could almost taste the tension. Villa set their stall out from the off. A player going down as in pain after just eleven seconds [I checked the clock]. The apprehension and tension grew when Villa hit the woodwork. Liverpool 0 Crystal Palace 3 30 Oct 2025 - At the end of the transfer window, I thought we had the best squad of players we’ve had for years and looked forward to games like this in the League Cup when we’d send out a quality side of ‘fringe’ players plus a youngster or two. Editorial Issue 317 27 Oct 2025 - Before you ask, no I’m not happy and that’s got nothing to do with losing four Premier League games on the trot. This issue was planned to be out in time for the Manchester United game, but the weather intervened as did a plague of half ‘n half scarf wearing tourists. As ever, no finger pointing but serious questions need to be asked and answered by not just the team, but the coaching staff as well. Eintracht Frankfurt 1 Liverpool 5 23 Oct 2025 - Maybe everything wasn’t broken before this game so maybe everything isn’t fixed after it. The fans and the team needed a lift and by the end of this game the lift had been provided. Changes were finally made, proof in the pudding etc. We still went one down but then we came alive. VvD & Ibou have been a worry at the back this season, but on this night they were providers and along with Hugo who scored without taking his shirt off we were 3-1 up at halftime.
