Liverpool 3 Brighton 015 Feb 2026-Our 3-0 win over Brighton in the FA Cup was welcomed by most of us, I’m sure. The Szoboszlai goal was the highlight of the game mainly due to the pass from Mo. The Curtis goal late in the first half may have settled a few nerves but some of our kamikaze messing around at the back stretched my nerves at times. Mo not only scored the penalty but also won it and Rio was unlucky to see his goal chalked off – where’s VAR when you want it. Arne was so confident of our progressing into Round Five he sent Calvin Ramsey on for the last two minutes. Must give a bit of credit to the Brighton fans who… ...
Sunderland 0 Liverpool 112 Feb 2026-A win is a win and we won. First visiting team to win a Premier League game at Sunderland this season. It took a long time for the goal we both needed and deserved to come but when VvD got on the end of a Mo cross it was to prove enough. Sadly, the game again saw another injury, and it sounds like Endo is out for some time. Is the right back position in the Liverpool team akin to the poison chalice? At least his replacement Joe Gomez got through the remaining twenty plus minutes unscathed. ...
Liverpool 1 Manchester City 29 Feb 2026-The first half against Manchester City, on our part, was nothing short of tepid. The second half, for maybe 20-minutes, was an improvement and a free kick from Dom was world class in its execution. Then, we seemed to lose the plot. I can’t be sure Arne even knew the plot. He obviously had little trust in a bench which for some reason included two goalkeepers. We were going to send on Curtis Jones when City levelled, in fact we did then send him on when the game restarted. Unfortunately, if anyone was going to win from that juncture it wasn’t us. I don’t know what went on in Ali’s mind when he gave away the penalty. We then sent on Chiesa, but City… ...
Liverpool 4 Newcastle 11 Feb 2026-When Newcastle scored, I feared the worst, in fact I expected the worst. They’d been the better side but about five minutes later we were winning 2-1. Thank you, Hugo Ekitike. Their fans, not to mention Eddie Howe and his cohort on the sidelines, must be a bit sick he signed for us and not them. The second half was different with us mainly in control, another goal from Flo and it was somehow fitting when Ibou made it four. Ten goals in two home games! It feels like yesterday once more. A week off before Manchester City come calling. Life doesn’t get any easier does it. ...
Liverpool 6 Qarabag 029 Jan 2026-We were expected to beat Qarabag and we did just that. For a change it was all a bit low key as the team from Azerbaijan offered little threat. I was just pleased to see the goals go in but there are now concerns about Frimpong. I think that leaves us with no right backs. On the night ending in the top eight was all that mattered and we’ve done that. We can now take a breath and wait to see what happens in the next stage before we play again. ...
Editorial 32027 Jan 2026-Welcome to Issue 320 of Red All Over The Land. If the words, “You’re only as good as your last game” are true then Liverpool are very good after a superb 3-0 win in Marseille that means they are one win away from a top eight finish in the European League and automatic qualification for the last sixteen knockout stages. Unfortunately, it’s what went before it that has left an odd taste in the mouth. As I send this to the printers before the trip to the English south coast and Bournemouth we need to reflect on other things The mood around Anfield hasn’t been good. It’s not just football either. After the one-all draw with Burnley and not for… ...
Bournemouth 3 Liverpool 227 Jan 2026-I was in Krakow when Liverpool headed to the south coast to play Bournemouth. In Krakow the local river was frozen but as news came across from the Bournemouth game it sounded to me that Arne was skating on thin ice. Not just Arne though is it? The excuses have long run out and there is surely something radically wrong at our club. ...
Marseille 0 Liverpool 322 Jan 2026-To a fan starved of just about everything over the past weeks this was like a feast. Not quite a banquet but it touched a spot, nevertheless. Mo was back and Mo was playing and that was good for starters. The main course was not just the goals, but the overall performance and the result was just deserts. We're at least assured of the top 24 a win in the next round and it's not just the top 8 but the players get a short break from Euro football. Can we carry this on down in Bournemouth please, we're all hungry for a bit more. ...
Liverpool 1 Burnley 118 Jan 2026-As I left the ground after the Burnley game someone remarked, “The passion has been sucked out of the team and the support”. He added, “What Klopp built has gone.” Hard to disagree. We may have dominated everything but playing in such a predictable way doesn’t help. We’ve had a run of winnable games but haven’t won too many and with Newcastle and Manchester City on the horizon things could become difficult. Listening to Arne afterwards, well he looked and sounded as confused as the rest of us. ...
Liverpool 4 Barnsley 113 Jan 2026-All that mattered against Barnsley was winning and getting into Round Four of the FA Cup. We did that. Maybe the 4-1 scoreline flattered us but Szoboszlai scored the goal of the game but then performed the daftest act of the game to give Barnsley hope. Even so I thought we were just going through the motions, players taking no risks and had we scored the third early in the second half instead of late it would have been a lot more comfortable, but this now seems the Liverpool way. Four good goals though and Jeremie Frimpong is now playing with a bit of class. Flo and Hugo helped each other to the second half goals, and we can now… ...
