The Kid Is Back

The side we put out against Cardiff was a lot stronger than I expected but I’m not complaining. The first half was all possession and nothing else, we hardly had a shot on target but things livened up after the break. Dioga put us ahead from a TAA free kick and then Taka Minamino made it two after some comic cuts defending by the Bluebirds. However, the goal that brought Anfield to its fee was by the returning after injury Harvey Elliott. What a goal. Cardiff pulled one back with what was their only genuine shot on target but it was a bit of a stroll at half pace for our side and in fairness that’s how it should be. Norwich next and at home so we can’t complain about Cup draws this season.
