An Eight goal…Er?

Some may want to suggest our latest warm up in Germany against another Second-Tier side, Greuther Furth, was an eight-goal thriller with the sides finishing level. I saw it a bit different. The first saw us very professional but we missed a few chances. The second half saw seven goals, Núñez scoring two and looking very sharp and Mo got what was a late equaliser. In fact, in the final seconds Núñez would have won the game but for an incredible save by the home ‘keeper. Only we conceded four and without wishing to be too critical our defending from the team that played the second half was a tad chaotic. Luis Diaz scored a superb opener in the first half, Jota missed a sitter and hit the post. Trent and Harvey got a few minutes under their belt as did some more academy lads.
