Punch Drunk

This should have gone on here after the Arsenal Cup-tie but I forgot. What a Cup game it was. We looked liked we were taking a beating in the first half with Arsenal having a glut of chances but somehow we survived.  They’d hit the woodwork and we’d scrambled the ball away. Maybe the first sign that we’d survived came when TAA hit the woodwork on our behalf?  The second half was different. Arsenal still kept attacking but we were coping far better. Then came the last ten minutes and two goals. Trent’s cross for the first from a free kick was something team can’t defend. Nobody can point a finger at the poor Gooner who deflected it into the net. When Diaz got the second right on time it was Arsenal that looked punch drunk.
