Beaten In Bangkok

Opening pre-season game against Manchester United should whet the appetite. However, for those Liverpool fans in Bangkok all they got was wet.  United won 4-0 but maybe that was because they fielded a far stronger team than we did. Not an excuse. Jürgen gave 32 players a run out or if you like, three totally different teams with Alisson and Adrian having 45 minutes in goal.  Ten Hag, the latest Manchester United saviour fielded far less. We had academy players all over the place with the senior players taking it in turn to get on the pitch.  New players Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez got their first outings. Fab Junior hit the post and Darwin shied over late on when he probably should have scored.  But it’s only pre-season and it doesn’t matter – well not when you lose.
