Under 21’s lose EFL Cup opener

Wigan beat the Liverpool Under 21 side 6-1 in the opening game of the EFL Cup. Liverpool lead 1-0 through Clarkson at halftime but were overpowered by Wigan after the break, three of the six goals coming in the final few minutes.
