For some, looking at Southampton [bottom] v Liverpool [top] it looked a sure thing Liverpool win.  However, add Storm Bert and the elements to the game and things change.  We didn't play anywhere near to the level usually required but in the end we won.  Szoboszlai put us in front but Saints turned it around...

Darwin Nunez scored the first in a 2-0 win, probably should have scored another. Mo Salah wrapped the points up five minutes from the end of normal time which made the final countdown easier to cope with. Only this game wasn't just about the men who scored the goals, it was more about Ibou Konate....

I don't know what they're giving the players at halftime but it seems to work. The first half was a case of both teams cancelling each other out and it was all a bit subdued. Then came the second half and Luis Diaz lighting up the night sky in the way the fireworks had done...
