The first game of the double header against Athletic Club Bilboa saw the Liverpool shadow squad beating the Bilboa shadow squad 4-1. Storm Floris had been raging over parts of the northwest but after five minutes the Spaniards had run into Storm Rio – or Ngumoha to give it its full name. Before halftime it was another youngster netting a third, Ben Doak and in the second half Harvey Elliott made it 4-0. Sadly, that could well be Harvey’s last goal for the club as well as he is expected to leave along with Darwin Nunez. Athletic Club reduced the deficit but a comprehensive win and performance from the Liverpool side.
