We did our best, but our best wasn’t good enough. PSG deserved to go through even if their 2-0 win at Anfield flattered them whereas the margin of their 4-0 aggregate win over the two games didn’t. If the overruled penalty had been given, well who knows. We didn’t create too much in the first half, and the problem was in the second half when we were on top the final pass, the final move, that bit of creativity didn’t happen. Bread and butter time now to get that fifth spot, time for the players to finally deliver but the fixture list doesn’t look like our best friend.
