Farewell And Thank You Arne

So, what seemed like the inevitable has happened.  Despite all the social media lynch mobs we shouldn’t forget what Arne achieved in his first season. He departs sitting alongside those managers who won our club the coveted league title, he succeeded where others had failed. While the keyboard warriors were on the warpath let’s not forget that twelve months ago Arne Slot was being compared to Bob Paisley, the quiet man following in the footsteps of a living legend. Having said that, the past season couldn’t be ignored.

Like others I wasn’t happy with what we were watching on the pitch nor happy with what was happening off the pitch. I don’t think that was just down to the manager because the players need to answer more than a few questions and the coaching staff and we can’t forget Hughes and Edwards. Football is now more than ever, a collective game and any blame for failure should be shared by the collective.
