New Faces Total None.

When our big kick off for the new season starts at Ipswich, I won’t be there in Tractor Town. Half twelve kick off isn’t the reason, the reason is no chance of a ticket and I have a self-imposed ban on watching football on TV.  It’s the dawning of a new age, no Jürgen this is the time of Arne Slot.  Arne and his staff will be the only newcomers, and I felt reasonably sure a few weeks back that we would have strengthened but such is life.

The word from the inside is that Arne has inherited a very strong squad, and he wants to see what it’s like for himself.  That’s right, he has inherited a strong squad but one that wasn’t strong enough last season.  I’m hoping Harvey Elliott will maintain his progress, that Diogo Jota spends more time on the pitch than off it in the sick bay, that Luis Diaz can turns his skills into more goals and that Darwin Nunez gets a better understanding of the offside law and can start hitting the back of the net instead of the posts.  Then maybe we can start to see what lies ahead for Arne and the boys.
