Fireworks Again

I don’t know what they’re giving the players at halftime but it seems to work. The first half was a case of both teams cancelling each other out and it was all a bit subdued. Then came the second half and Luis Diaz lighting up the night sky in the way the fireworks had done before the game. On the hour we seemed to explode into action with the ball from Curtis Jones that set up the first goal for Luis being something special. Two minutes later it was Cody Gakpo on the end of a Mo cross that got Anfield going off like those sparklers in the sky [after VAR that is]. Leave the rest to Luis, he was the prize guy on firework night. Bayer Leverkusen had looked a problem in the first half but we solved it and moved to the top of the European table. 4-0 and I don’t think the returning Xabi Alonso could have any complaints.
