Mid-Summer Madness

Mid-Summer Madness

June 30, 2025

It’s mid-summer madness. It’s nearly July; Glastonbury is in full swing, and Wimbledon is about to start. Over in America the World Club Cup is still going on and Chelsea and Manchester City are hopefully doing themselves no favours by staying in the competition but counting the cash. Harvey Elliott inspired the England Under 21 side to win their version of the Euro’s but for Harvey and his two Liverpool teammates who were also involved in the successful England side the question is what about their Liverpool futures. It seems Jarrell Quansah’s future is already decided with a move to Bayer Leverkusen for good money and a buy back clause if he makes a success of it. Tyler Morton’s future surely lies elsewhere which brings me to Harvey Elliott. Harvey’s 22 so too old to be labelled a prospect especially having played about well over 100 games for Liverpool. For Harvey, a lifetime Liverpool fan, it must be a tormenting time. It’s decision time for both club and player. Harvey is the same age as Florian Wirtz so maybe the club have made their mind up already.
