Fond farewells and credit to the Anfield crowd for giving Mo and Robbo such a good send off. Pity it couldn’t have been perfect, but the game mirrored most of the season.  Fitting Mo helped Curtis with his goal because that could be his final call as well. Maybe that’s why Joe Gomez got to stretch his legs at the finish. Ali made a brilliant save just before halftime and we wonder if we will get to see him again. Finishing fifth in a sub-standard division wasn’t anything to celebrate and getting into the Champions League courtesy of UEFA won’t send me popping any corks. The season’s over, let it go, what happens next is down to others.
