A European night used to be so special, but when we play Atlético Madrid tomorrow it will have too much of a familiar ring to it. I look forward to it and will be wondering what Diego Simone will have up his sleeve. He’s not just a master of the dark arts, he invented most of them. It will be Andoni’s first European [Champions] League game so it will be interesting to see how he approaches it and his team selection. Ronald Araújo could be just the type of player we’ve been looking for when it comes to European football, he might know a few of the dark arts as well. I hope Anfield can regain its European sound, sadly missing in recent times. Then again, if anyone can stir the crowd it’s Señor Simone.
