Arsenal 0 Liverpool 09 Jan 2026-I’ve been critical of the team, the manager and just about everyone over the last few weeks and I feared the worse down in North London. No strikers available and hardly any back up on the bench but unlike the Leeds game, this is one 0-0 I’m not complaining about. We were the better side in the second half even if we didn’t have a shot on target. The main talking point wouldn’t be the game, it was the Martinelli stuff at the end on the injured Conor Bradley. Henry Winter said Liverpool fans won’t forget what Martinelli did and he’s right. ...
Fulham 2 Liverpool 25 Jan 2026-This result wasn't a disappointment, it was sort of expected. We're now in a period of mediocrity and those at the top, not just Arne, should start admitting it. At the outset of the season the squad, certainly in terms of numbers looked capable but with all the injuries that hasn't been the case. ...
Liverpool 0 Leeds 01 Jan 2026-To me the game against Leeds was dismal and abysmal. No creativity, no urgency until the last 10-minutes when we resorted to lump it forward and hope. Farke set his side up superbly and they deserved their point. The only bonus for me was not conceding to a set piece but that’s a mere crumb of comfort. Last season the sceptics said it was the worst Premier Division in years. Is it any better this year? We’re fourth, somehow. Chelsea’s fifth but have sacked their manager. There’s no breathing space in the top half of the table but now the impression some of us leave with is that we’re choking ourselves. The subs don’t seem tactical, more of desperation. You… ...
Happy New Year31 Dec 2025-Another year nearly over. A great first six months for LFC, not quite so great in the last six months. A hard time for Red All Over The Land as we faced lousy weather plus an ever changing culture among the Fanbase many of whom have no idea what a Fanzine is or what it does. People say 'Print is Dead' but there's no interest in the digital version either. The club no longer wants the local supporter, they prefer the cash they can take from the 'tourist'. That's not just at Liverpool, it's the same at Manchester United and others. It's football which has now become tick-box entertainment rather than a sport and we are customers rather than supporters.… ...
Liverpool 2 Wolves 128 Dec 2025-On the football front Liverpool v Wolves was nothing more than cold turkey. Liverpool this season have perfected the art of turning the simple into the difficult, relaxed into stress. Yes, we won, the only thing that is important in the final analysis, but did anybody really enjoy that last half an hour? Wirtz took us for a trip round wonderland, but we can’t keep hanging on, especially against maybe the worst team that’s played in the top-flight of English football. ...
Spurs 1 Liverpool 221 Dec 2025-We played the last ten minutes with all the confidence of the England cricket team but at the end of the day we got what we wanted. Isak and Ekitike scoring was good news, the injuries and having to sub the subs wasn’t. ...
Editorial Issue 31917 Dec 2025-Welcome to Issue 319 of Red All Over The Land. There’s no point in me droning on about the Arne/Mo issue because it gets enough mention in this Issue and it’s already bored the backside off the majority. It’s not the first time a Liverpool player and the manager have had a tiff, and it won’t be the last. It shouldn’t have happened and it surely became an embarrassment to all concerned. Almost as big an embarrassment as a player getting sent off for thumping his own teammate but he got applauded by his manager and almost lauded in the press! I’ve recently read comments by former Liverpool players about how they ‘hated’ a manager simply because the manager didn’t… ...
Liverpool 2 Brighton 014 Dec 2025-There was a funny feeling around Anfield before the Brighton game but inside the first minute Hugo lifted the mood. Bit by bit it felt we were doing things right. It wasn’t perfect but at least everyone seemed to be singing from the same carol sheet. When Mo came on, he looked a bit happier, and the second Hugo goal eased the tension. “Oh Come All Ye Faithful” even broke out. The squad imbalance was still there as we were forced to use three right backs, two of them makeshift and Robbo ended up on the left wing. A short step for Liverpool, whether it’s a giant step for the season we’ll soon find out. ...
Inter 0 Liverpool 110 Dec 2025-After a nightmare 72-hours for the club we finally got back to football. We were playing the side that reached the final last season, the side that currently tops the Italian league and we beat them. It was a late penalty and the man we trusted to take it, Dom Szoboszlai, took it and scored. He's been the shining light in what has been a dark few months. Let's hope we can go on from here. ...
No Winners; Only Losers9 Dec 2025-We should have been feeling a bit pleased with the FA Cup draw, a home tie with Barnsley but the news hardly got a mention due to the latest news coming out of Liverpool, Mo won’t be travelling to Milan. The press conference which featured Arne and Alisson, but the talk was all about Mo. Some have said the whole matter should have been dealt with in private but in the modern world of football the word private no longer exists. The fallout after Mo rocked the whole of Merseyside has been annoying and embarrassing. There will be no winners only losers. The fans and the rest of the team have got to get on with things. Whether Mo ever… ...
