For a couple of days we will be top of the league. Considering this side is relatively new and is definitely work in progress I like to think we’re progressing reasonably well. Darwin finally got back on the goal trail, Jota returned and joined him. In between it was like Liverpool v the Burnley keeper. VAR [and Paul Tierney] found a way to disallow two goals but we found a way to win. Jarrell Quansah is the star for tomorrow.

Liverpool v Arsenal was a good game of football, two teams with one intention. One-all was a fair result but we had the better chances in the second half.  Mo’s first half equaliser was a gem but how Trent hit the bar when it looked easier to score I’ll leave to him. We should have had a penalty and why it wasn’t given I’m sure we’ll get told. Still in the top two and two more big games to come before we can take a deep breath.

I’ve said before, I love beating any side managed by David Moyes. Beating West Ham 5-1 in the League Cup and moving into a two-legged semi final was the perfect way to end a wet and windy Wednesday night at Anfield.  SO-BOSS-LA put his miserable Sunday behind him, scoring the first and having a decent game. In the second half how good was Curtis Jones? His two goals in front of the Kop will mean so much more to him. Gakop fired in to make it 3-0 before West Ham’s only real shot on goal went in.  Only up stepped Mo and Curtis to round off a good night. home and away games against Fulham, who knocked Everton out and we could be at Wembley

Red All Over The Land will be at The Church on Oakfield Road on Thursday to hand over £4k to the SoS who in turn will hand it over to The Church. The funds raised at our Kevin Keegan event will go towards putting on a lunch for those in the Anfield community that need support. Thanks to everyone who contributed in any way whatsoever.

Liverpool v Manchester United. According to the handouts the biggest game on the planet. Well this nil-nil won’t be shown when they build up the next one when we go to their place. Boring and snoring stuff. No further comment.
