Southampton at home in the League Cup should let us see some of the talent we have bubbling under. Look forward to that. The European League [AKA Champions League] looks tough on the face of it. Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, PSV Eindhoven and Qarabag at Anfield and away dates with Inter, Eintracht Frankfurt, Marseille and Galatasaray. I hope we give TAA the welcome he deserves....

Summing up last night I would say a real mixed bag. Defence looked dodgy but, in the end, we won but we need to sort out the obvious. Credit to Bournemouth and their fans. If the racist allegations are correct, I hope the club & the police deal with it. Not wanted at any time...
