I suppose the good news after beating Lille 2-1 at a soggy Anfield is that we now get a night off when the next round is played. Would have been two but they've stuck Everton in.  I thought it was a bit fragmented due to all the changes before and during but players getting time...

I can't say I'm a big fan of the half paced football we saw at Anfield today against Accrington Stanley. I understand the reasons why and without moving into any upper gear we won 4-0 and I suppose that alone pleased the hordes of schoolkids getting a rare chance to see some of their heroes...
